These railings run the length of the parade of shops in Sycamore Avenue, Golcar and were designed in collaboration with pupils from 3 local primary schools; Golcar County, St. John's and Beech.

The theme is based on local history and stories a big part of which was the weaving industry.

Before making the designs for the railings the pupils from each school make big collages of Golcar to familiarise themselves with it's geography and history.

The project was managed by Loca and the client was the Highways Division of Kirklees Council.
